I hope this month finds you well, physically, mentally and emotionally. The world seems to be on a crazy roller coaster of emotions and actions. Watching the news, scrolling on social media and just talking with those you know, can be very draining and leave you with anxiety. These emotions can disturb sleep, cause physical symptoms and leave you feeling frustrated.
I'd like to pop into your mind for a moment to offer some support. February invites softening. This month is about easing tension you may not realize you are carrying and also allowing your nervous system to feel supported. SOFTENING does not mean giving up- it means letting go of effort that is not needed or wanted.
Take a moment for the EMOBODIED PAUSE monthly tip that I would like to share with you. This is pausing with intention, softening and taking a moment for quiet reflection. Join me for this 1-minute practice for grounding and peace of mind.
Find somewhere you can sit comfortably, with your feet placed on the ground and one hand on your heart and the other on your stomach. Let your forehead soften as you inhale through your nose and exhale through the mouth. Notice where your shoulders are at, with the next inhale, relax and drop the shoulders away from your ears. Continue to take a few more deep breaths, just focusing on the inhale and exhale. Now, inhale through your nose for a count of 4. Exhale slowly for a count of 6, letting your shoulders drop. Continue this breath, until you feel relaxed. Use this breath whenever you feel tense, anxious or frustrated.
If you'd like a Reflexology session in Carrington, I am there working on Monday's most months. Foot Care appointments can be made the same way. Please contact me directly as you cannot register online for appointments.
If you'd like a Reflexology or Foot Care session in Harvey, I am in the office most Tuesday's-Thursday's, and an appointment is needed to be seen. You can contact me directly or book online through my website.
If life has felt heavy or demanding for you, moments of softening can help restore balance for your body and mind. You are welcome to reach out to me for a Reflexology session if you are looking for gentle, supportive relaxing care.
